Vista Clearing

Vista Clearing is the process of gaining a better view of that lake, river, or valley.  Branches are selectively removed with the health of the tree in mind.  Bigger is not always better.  Removing many smaller branches is typically better than removing one large branch.  Smaller trees, trees with structural issues, and undesirable trees can be removed.  The health of the remaining trees is enhanced.  In some areas, such as along the Potomac River, trees cannot be removed without a permit.

Key Benefits
  • Trees with structural defects and smaller trees that are blocking the view can be removed.
  • Larger trees have branches selectively removed to open that view, but remain healthy.
  • Health of the remaining trees is enhanced.
