A tree may need to be removed if it poses a safety risk to people or property, or if its health has declined beyond recovery. Common signs include large dead or hanging branches, visible cracks or cavities in the trunk, significant leaning, root damage, or signs of disease or decay. Trees that have been severely damaged by storms, lightning, or high winds may also require removal, especially if they are near homes, driveways, power lines, or other structures.
